Thursday, October 23rd Night in Pisa

Beginning of the trip: The girls and I took the 7:30pm train to Pisa! Before we left the train station Hannah was body slammed by a lady running to her train. Meanwhile Hannah’s McDonalds coke and fries flew across the terminal. It all happened so fast that we all just stood there staring and then Hannah kind of laughed, her normal reaction to everything hahahha so great. Anyway, we loaded the train and got into Pisa around 9. Our trained smelled like BO but that’s typical for Europe I guess…sorry I just feel it’s necessary to include all of the details. When we got off the train we walked down a dark street to our hostel. There was a note on the gate addressed to Maddie and had a phone number to call. Shortly after a little lady in her 50’s pulled up in her little European car and told us that she was moving us to a different hostel but it was right down the street. She asked if we wanted to walk or drive and we’d never been in a tiny European car, and figured that we wouldn’t experience that the rest of the semester. So she piled the 4 of us and our luggage into this tiny little thing and drove us right back to the train station where we’d come from. Then we walked to our hostel which was a lot bigger and cleaner than we expected so that was really nice.
